The National Citizens Party (NCP) is holding a rally at the central Shaheed Minar in the capital under the title of ‘Manifesto of a New Bangladesh’. The party wants to give a message of building a new Bangladesh from this rally.

The party’s central leaders have already arrived at the rally. In addition, leaders and activists from different parts of the country are gathering here with slogans and processions. There are also family members of those who were martyred in the July mass uprising and the injured. The party’s convener Nahid Islam will announce the manifesto of a new Bangladesh at the rally. Javed Rasin, joint convener of the National Citizens Party, told Prothom Alo, ‘The NCP, a party formed after the mass uprising, wants to build a new Bangladesh. How we want to see a new Bangladesh, what plans we want to take for Bangladesh, how we want to change the country through changes in all sectors including education, health, and defense, the outline of that will be presented today. The manifesto of New Bangladesh means a new outline for building the country.’
Another NCP leader, Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adib, said that the rally time has been set at 4 pm, focusing on the HSC exam and the Chhatra Dal rally in Shahbagh. So that students do not have to face traffic jams. Ariful said that only leaders and workers of the district committees of Dhaka Metropolitan City and its surroundings will participate in the rally.
